Use the two right buttons to operate the foot valve and the two left buttons for the backrest .
In the middle of these four buttons is a round reset button .

Are you sleeping or sitting with the footrest up? Press the reset button: the seat closes automatically and returns both the backrest and the footrest to their original position at the same time. So you don't have to move the backrest and then the footrest separately—it happens in one smooth movement.
