Frequently asked questions
There are various stand-up relaxing chairs. We answer the most common questions about these relaxing chairs with a stand-up function.
What are the biggest differences between the Medicare and the Sereno?
The Medicare has a classic design, while the Sereno has a more modern look. The Sereno swivels smoothly, whereas the Medicare stays fixed in one direction. See all the differences side by side on our comparison page.
Do I need a battery?
- If you have a socket nearby, you don't need a battery.
- If the chair is placed in the middle of the living room, a battery can be useful. Then there are no cables on the floor that you could trip over.
- You can also always order this battery online after delivery. We will then send it via bpost. Connecting it is very simple (plug&play).
What is the delivery time?
All chairs are in stock and we can deliver to you within a few days.
How much does a lift chair cost?
Our lift chairs start from €899. The Medicare costs €899, the Vita Duo €1099 and the swivelling Sereno €1199. Every price includes free delivery in Belgium and the Netherlands — no surprises.
What if the chair isn't right for me?
You have a 30-day trial period: if the chair doesn't suit you, we take it back. You also enjoy a 2-year legal warranty and our own repair service, available 7 days a week — even after the warranty period, we handle repairs ourselves.
Why a lift chair?
A lift chair combines the comfort of a classic recliner with an electric lift mechanism that gently brings you to a near-standing position. Standing up demands far less strength from your knees, hips and back — precisely the joints under most strain with arthritis, rheumatism or after surgery.
That makes these chairs especially valuable for seniors, people with limited mobility, or anyone recovering from a hip or knee operation. There is also a preventive benefit: those who can keep standing up independently stay active longer and maintain more muscle strength. A lift chair is not a sign of dependence, but a way to stay independent for longer.
At Swiss-Relax you choose from models with 1, 2 or 3 motors, with or without a swivel base, in leather or fabric. Prices start from €899 and every chair is delivered free of charge in Belgium and the Netherlands — on average within 4 days from stock, on a date you choose yourself.
Design has evolved too: modern lift chairs like the Sereno don't look like care aids, but like stylish recliners that suit any interior. And with an optional battery, the chair even works without a socket nearby.
In short: a lift chair brings more ease, more safety and above all more independence in daily life. View all lift chairs or come try them in Roeselare — every Saturday, no appointment needed.
